It was recently announced that the Crown Arena (4,500-seat arena) and Crown Theatre (2,500-seat theater) will close in November 2025, while the Crown Coliseum (10,000-seat arena), Expo Center, and Ballroom will continue operations. As these venues plan to cease operations, a study is underway to evaluate the need for a new performance venue in Cumberland County. The proposed venue would be multi-purpose in nature, with the ability to host a variety of event types such as concerts, comedy shows, Broadway/theater tours, performing arts events, family shows, sporting events, trade shows, local and regional events, meetings and banquets, and other events. The following survey has been designed to gather information that will help us determine the need for such a facility, as well as the right type, size, and location for the proposed venue. The ideas being shared in this survey are conceptual in nature.
